Having an interactive map sounds like a great idea.
To start, I'd love to see even your "general idea" on a map - might help us to visualize the trip and mould it in a shape of our choosing.

That's a GREAT idea. It maybe a jump off point as well for future ideas. Again, I don't want people to be STUCK on what I have outlined, to stifle any suggestions. This is OUR trip, in a way, to discover parts of the world together. I will just be doing the shlogging to get there.
